Hereditary Allegories : A Study in Genetics
K & L : Lazy Gene
The gene for laziness was discovered on Chromosome #12. These mice
display a classic dichotomy, where Mouse K has inherited the Lazy Gene,
but Mouse L has not. Scientists are not yet able to manipulate this gene,
but generous corporate funding has been made available for further study,
and legislation is in place for patenting. In the future, those still possessing
the Lazy Gene will need to obtain a license for the privilege.
