Hereditary Allegories : A Study in Genetics
S & T : Mouse Mutation
There are over two hundred million cells in the mouse body, each one
dividing every few minutes. A genetic mutation occurs approximately once every 100,000 divisions. While most of these mutations are not replicated, a rare mutation may have significant consequences for the future of the species.
Mouse T has had its rate of genetic mutation increased. Mouse S remains unchanged. Mouse T is moving into the future at a faster rate than Mouse S, and provides a unique platform for further research.
